Kennedy Engineer Posts First Pictures of SpaceX Explosions at Cape Canaveral Launch Site

According to Steve Grzanich at WGNRadio, “NASA confirms explosion at @SpaceX launch site where a test firing of the Falcoln 9 rocket was being conducted.” (Falcon9)

The rocket was going to launch a Facebook satellite into space to supply broadband internet around the world. SpaceX is a private company run by billionaire Elon Musk.

No casualties reported so far.

The first pictures of explosions this morning at Cape Canaveral are being released. Frank Jakubetz, described at Twitter as an Engineer at Kennedy Space Center released these two shots at the SpaceX pad.
